  1. I didn’t use the term “missionary” when I taught RCIA; but I did say that a goal of the process was to equip them to evangelize their non-Catholic friends and family.

Thank you for this profound reminder that God calls us to build an economy where “every person has immeasurable value.” May we, who will be fortunate enough to celebrate the joys of Thanksgiving with our loved ones, restrain from contributing in any way to this upcoming retail profit-making escapade on Thanksgiving Day. Let us also specifically and prayerfully remember the thousands of underpaid personnel who will forgo the joys of Thanksgiving Day so they can provide the basic necessities of life for their families.
