Welcome to the Team! – orig

If you are interested in starting and sustaining the catechumenate in your parish, you’ve come to the right place!

You might be:

  • a priest,
  • a catechist,
  • a team leader,
  • a sponsor,
  • a spiritual director,
  • a school teacher,
  • a pastoral associate,
  • or even a bishop.

Step right up, and Team RCIA will walk with you through every step of the process.

The catechumenate can seem daunting. But you really only need two things to get started. Two gifts, actually. If you don’t already have them, you can ask the Holy Spirit to send them to you and s/he will be happy to oblige. The two charisms you need are:

  • Humility
  • and Passion

If you are humble enough to rely on others, to ask for help, to be willing to make a mistake here and there, and to try things you’ve never tried before, you are half way there. If you are passionate about teaching others about Christ, about witnessing to the gospel, and most of all about bringing hope to those who have no hope, you will be a great minister in the catechumenate process.
