The RCIA says that the Christian community, through their example, teaches the catechumens five essential skills they will need to live the Christian way of life. By learning and practicing these five skills, the catechumens will “taste the joy the God gives without measure” (RCIA 75.2).

These five skills are so important that the Second Vatican Council said that it is these disciplines that cause the catechumens to “pass from the old to a new nature made perfect in Christ” (Decree on the Church’s Missionary Activity, 14).

Make sure your catechumens are learning each of these five essential skills by joining us for our next webinar. We will discuss:

  • Why Christian community is important
  • The five skills required for living the Christian way of life
  • How to teach these five skills to the catechumens
  • The powerful consequences of learning and living these skills
