We think of “grace” as a gentle thing, but the RCIA says there are “many forms of God’s grace” (RCIA 5). Some of those forms are of the “tough love” variety. If we cooperate with God’s grace, our RCIA processes will radically change—all the time.
If we are going to turn seekers into life-long disciples, we have to pay attention to how God’s grace is leading each one of them on a unique journey. No two paths will be the same. But how can we manage a customized process for each individual with the limited resources we have?
In this webinar, we are going to explore:
- Why cooperating with the many forms of God’s grace is essential
- What God’s grace looks like in the RCIA process
- How to customize a faith journey for each seeker
- What will happen to our RCIA processes if we make this radical shift
This webinar originally aired on June 11, 2015. The full video/audio recording includes a downloadable handout and recommended resources.
Once you purchase your recording, you will receive a download link for a PDF with information on accessing your recording. Be sure to click the download link after your purchase so you can view your recording. You can view your recording online, any time as many times as you like.
This is the sixth in a series of webinars in which we will discuss the six core principles of the RCIA. The six principles can be applied to any faith formation process, not just the catechumenate. So be sure to invite all the parish catechists, the marriage and baptismal prep teams, and anyone who guides others on their faith journey..
Although TeamRCIA webinars are designed for parish use, we know that they can also be valuable for diocesan training. With your diocesan use access purchase, you will receive the link to the recording. You may use that link to show the recording (as many times as you like for as long as you like) from a single computer and location within your diocese, such as a chancery office or a parish, for each viewing.
