Since the holidays are coming up, and we’ll be expecting a lot of visitors and seekers at our parishes this month, we’ve asked Fr. John Hurley, CSP, an expert in evangelization, to join us in this important discussion.

This webinar originally aired on December 9, 2014. The full video/audio recording includes a downloadable handout and recommended resources.

Once you purchase your recording, you will receive a download link for a PDF with information on accessing your recording. Be sure to click the download link after your purchase so you can view your recording. You can view your recording online, any time as many times as you like.

Why is it that some years you seem to have an abundance of RCIA inquirers and other years hardly any? For many parishes in North America, the trend is not good. Over the last decade, fewer and fewer adults are seeking baptism. Also, fewer young couples are marrying in the church, and marriage preparation has been responsible for a great many of our RCIA participants in the past.

Is a downward trend in inquirers inevitable? Or can we do something to find more inquirers for our RCIA processes? We think so. We’ve asked Fr. John Hurley, CSP, an expert in evangelization, to help us discuss these questions:

  • Why is it important to actively seek seekers?
  • What does a welcoming parish look like?
  • How can RCIA teams discover and welcome more seekers?
  • What difference will it make to our parishes if we are actively welcoming seekers?

This will be of great interest to your RCIA team and also to anyone in the parish who is concerned about evangelization. Be sure to join us and invite your colleagues.
