The Way of Faith first explains each of the stages of the catechumenate in a way that makes sense to busy catechumenate teams. This isn’t a mere listing of steps but a genuine description of everything I’ve learned from all the years of mistakes and learning that I’ve piled up.

• I wrote this section so those who are new to initiation ministry would instantly grasp why each stage matters.
• And I wrote it so the veterans among us would have engaging language to describe what we know about the RCIA in our hearts—that this is a conversion process from beginning to end.
